| · 강좌소개 | Arts from the end of the Joseon dynasty to the Korean Empire have often been interpreted as an intermediary state in the Westernization and modernization of Korean art. This course aims to provide further insight to understanding of the dynamic processes of change in early modern Korean art and visual culture. Students will engage with both royal and popular arts to investigate pervasive changes to traditional art and the emergence of completely new types of visual images and visual culture at the turn of the twentieth century. |
