    2005년 파리에 설립된 Asia Centre는 아시아의 현안 문제를 다루는 프랑스 유수의 전문 연구기관으로 연구, 출판 및 세미나 개최 등 다양한 학술활동을 수행하고 있다. 특히 격월 출간의 'China Analysis'(현재 41호) 와 'Japan Analysis' (현재 29호) 를 on line과 인쇄 형태로 발행하며 동아시아에 관심이 있는 프랑스와 유럽의 넓고 두터운 독자층을 확보하고 있다.

    소아스 한국학 연구소는 유럽 대학으로는 처음으로 2006년에 해외 한국학 중핵대학으로 선정되어 5년 동안 괄목할 만한 성과를 이룩하였다. 이 기간 동안 소아스는 샬롯 홀릭 교수를 한국미술사 교수로 임명하여 영구직으로 만들고, 5년간 3명의 연구원을 고용하여 연구 인력을 확충하였다.

    “비엔나 디지털 한국학 플랫폼”(Vienna Digital Korean Studies Platform 이하: VDKSP)은 비엔나대학교 한국학과에서 제의하는 바이다. 6 명의 학자 및 교직원으로 구성된 핵심팀과 이 팀을 주축으로 연구원과 연구조교 등이 함께 참여한다. 이 프로젝트를 크게 네 부분으로 나누면 다음과 같다: 한국어강좌, 한국특유의 테마를 다룬 “디지털 강좌”, 한국과 관련된 특정 주제에 관한 연구, 프로젝트의 발전과 장려를 위한 워크숍과 심포지움 개최. 이 디지털 플랫폼은 연구와 밀접한 관계에 놓인 강좌제작에 큰 부분을 할애한다.

    이 사업의 효과는 불어를 공식언어 혹은 제 2 언어로 사용하는 세계 불어권으로 자연스럽게 확장될 수 있다. 유사한 활동을 담당하고 있는 한국 기관들 (한국학중앙연구원, 국제교류재단, 등)의 도움을 받아, 우리는 이 사업의 국제적 확장에 참여할 수 있는 한국연구 관련기관들과 네트워크을 형성하면서 5 개년 계획인 이 사업을 완료시킬 수 있을 것이다.

    프라하 챨스 대학(Charles University in Prague) 동양학 연구소 한국어과의 프로젝트는 체코 공화국에서의 60년 전통의 한국학과 중부 유럽 지역에서의 위상을 잘 반영하고 있다. 본 프로젝트는 강의, 필드 리서치 및 국제 교류 의 3분야로 구성된다. 강의 및 국제 교류는 체코, 슬로바키아 및 기타 동유럽과 중앙 유럽 국가들과의 협력을 통해 동 국가들의 B.A 과정 및 M.A.과정의 교수진과의 교류를 강화하고, 챨스 대학 및 기타 체코 국내 대학, 유럽 내 슬로바키아 대학의 재학생들을 위한 한국학 특별 강좌를 개설하고자 한다.

    The two Korean Studies institutes of Freie Universitaet Berlin and Ruhr Universitaet Bochum here apply for support for a five year research and teaching project on the subject of „Circulation of Knowledge and the Dynamics of Transformation“. Through this project, we will create a firm research and teaching network, utilizing multiple techniques of trans-local communication (such as on-line conferences, intranet, e-courses and the like).
